🔎 Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Emergency Medicine Registrar to join a dynamic and fast-paced Emergency Department in one of Ireland’s leading acute hospitals.
This role offers exceptional clinical exposure, strong consultant support, and the opportunity to develop advanced skills in trauma, acute care, and resuscitation.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
• Provide timely and high-quality medical care to patients attending the Emergency Department
• Manage acute presentations across a broad spectrum of medical and surgical emergencies
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across various specialties
• Participate in the hospital's on-call and shift rota (day, evening, night, and weekend shifts)
• Supervise and mentor junior doctors and medical students as appropriate
• Engage in clinical audits, case presentations, and continuous professional development
🎓 Requirements:
• Eligible for registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) – General or Trainee Specialist Division
• At least 3 years post-graduate clinical experience, including a minimum of 6–12 months in Emergency Medicine
• Valid ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English (IELTS/OET if required)
🌟 Desirable (Not Mandatory):
• Experience in Irish or UK health systems
• EU Trained
• Higher training or interest in Emergency Ultrasound, Trauma, or Pre-hospital Care
• Interest in pursuing specialist training in Emergency Medicine
